This
one of a kind Market has over 75 stalls known for its fresh produce
tables, bake shops, seafood, beef, poultry stalls, and live
entertainment.
Sift through the aromas of fresh food, the wonderful sounds of buskers
and the ambience of people watching at its best. |
I get
to it by crossing the Burrard Street Bridge going south, and turning
left around 2nd Avenue. From around False Creek rain or shine, the rainbow-coloured
Aqua Bus Ferries continuously criss-cross Vancouver's scenic False
Creek, carrying both foot passengers and cyclists to Granville
Island....

I have been to Granville Island. I will go again. Eventually. I
worked on the Island and I, well it wasn't pretty but everything is okay
now.
Island is a good place for a first date. Could be good place to see the
ex.
I don't know. Food, beverage, and entertainment. In a trendy setting.
Good looking people. Maybe dogs. Pets. Maybe it's not raining

This place kind of reminds me of Pike Place Market, but more covered.
I came here with my orchestra buds on the last day of our orchestra
trip, as well as to pick up a late lunch.
We explored the area, and browsed food shops, snack carts, candy shops,
drink stands, produce carts, ice cream and bakeries.
I decided to get a piece of 'big island' pizza from a random pizza
place. It was a generous slice. Fresh, hot, with a soft and fluffy
crust. Probably the fluffiest crust I've ever had. The toppings were a
mix of cheeses, oregano, pineapple, and Canadian bacon. I'm a huge fan
of Hawaiian pizza, and this was pretty good!
My other friends got pizza too, as well as fish & chips, Chinese food,
sushi, and bubble tea.
There was a lot of entertainment going on, and it was so fun to watch it
all.
I'd come back! Granville Island Market Reviews
Beautiful waterfront...
Eclectic mix of stores, eateries, bakery, ice cream store and ..
IMPROV!!! =D *love improv shows*
My friend and I went here at night...when the cityscape behind the
waterfront is lit up... WOW spectacular and the bridge is beautiful!!!
An interesting thing that we saw was that one of the bakeries was
passing out leftover bread to those who wanted it at the end of the
day... huge crowd of people gathered there.
Beware of birds!
Paid parking only... parking overall in Vancouver isn't great.
