Quay Public Market
A favorite place for both locals and visitors to shop and browse, the
Westminster Quay Public Market is just a block from the New Westminster Skytrain
Station. Set on the edge of the Fraser River, the market features numerous
vendors selling everything from fresh seafood to fresh veggies, one-of-a-kind
jewelry, books, artwork, clothing and novelty items. Take in the aromas of
freshly baked pies, imported cheese or fresh strawberries. Enjoy lunch from the
food fair while sitting at an outdoor table, or stroll along the Quay’s
boardwalk. Known as The Festival Market, Westminster Quay also features

Downtown New Westminster - Columbia Street Downtown New Westminster is in the heart of the Lower Mainland, easily
accessible by car or at one of two Skytrain stations – New Westminster &
Columbia. The Downtown is a mix of unique character buildings both old and new,
and features tree-lined streets that light up at night, and old fashioned lamp
standards that add a warm ambience. Stroll the flower-laden esplanade
overlooking the Fraser River, or explore the interesting Downtown streets,
filled with the beautiful architecture of heritage buildings, sidewalk cafes,
gourmet coffee bars and shopping from art boutiques, gift stores and hobby shops
to the funkiest fashions and a niche of bridal shops. The Royal City, once
British Columbia’s capital, now boasts places where you can delight in the
best of the old and new together. Visit a heritage hotel or an urban pub and
bistro, enjoy fine European dining or pizza by the slice, dance the night away,
laugh at comedians, or just watch the sun set on the water from your table
overlooking the Fraser. Columbia Street features many special events and

antique shops offer everything from funky 50’s collectibles to high end
Victoriana. Spend an entire day browsing the shops and strolling down memory
lane. Royal City Centre – Uptown New Westminster The city's newest shopping area is the bright and modern Royal City Centre.
Many of your favourite stores, including Zellers and Safeway, a full-service
restaurant, plus some one-of-a-kind shops, will look after your shopping needs.
Whether you’re looking for the latest fashions, a good book, that perfect
gift, or something to help your cold, you’ll find it at Royal City Centre. Be
sure to stop in the Garden Food Court and see the birdhouses - they are
miniature versions of some of New Westminster's most historic buildings. Royal
City Centre, at Sixth Avenue and Sixth Street, is at the heart of the Uptown
shopping district Columbia Square Plaza At the west end of Downtown, this neighborhood shopping centre fairly hums
with activity – a drugstore, supermarket, specialty shops and restaurants will
fill your convenience and service needs. Royal Square Mall A Safeway store and numerous small shops and services are the features of
this Mall. Located at McBride and Eighth Avenue, its large open parking lot and
proximity to major thoroughfares make it a great spot for RV ers to pick up some
picnic fixings or other necessities. Vintage Row - Twelfth Street Antiques abound in New Westminster. In addition to Front Street, Twelfth
Street also features an antique theme. More than half a dozen antique stores
sell everything from high-end gloriana to historic fixtures, including
one-of-a-kind period lights, turn of the century plumbing accessories, and
architectural bits and pieces. Sapperton Reminiscent of a typical main street from days gone by, Sapperton has a quaint neighborhood feel that makes it perfect for browsing.
