The Legacy of the Plaza of Nations

It was part of the British Columbia Pavilion during Expo '86, and along
with Science World ,
Canada Place, and the
Roundhouse Community Centre is one of the remaining physical reminders
of Expo '86.

The Plaza of
Nations is home to a diverse range of businesses. The outdoor stage area
is perfectly suited for a wide range of events including festivals and
fairs, outdoor concerts, product launches, corporate and media events,
and the property is a favourite of location managers for television and
feature film productions.

The Plaza of Nations Events
|
The Plaza of Nations hosts various cultural and entertainment events,
including the Alcan
Dragon Boat Festival , and has been a popular events venue
for various ethnic communities in Vancouver, as well as for corporate
events. The Edgewater Casino and Plush Nightclub are found there.

get to the Plaza of Nations by Skytrain
get off at the Stadium
Street Skytrain Station, it has 2 ways to exit, use the lower
street level exit (Pacific Blvd.) to go to GM Place,
Chinatown and The
Plaza of Nations, use the
upper street level exit (Beatty St.) to go to BC Place Stadium (about 2
blocks walk southbound along Beatty). |
