Excellent service from the hotel staff, always friendly and helpful.
They don't just go through the motions like some hotel chains. They
genuinely care about your comfort and well being.
The rooms are very cozy and comfortable, giving you the feeling of home
while you are away. The atmosphere, especially the atrium, adds to the
comfort and gives you a well deserved relaxing feeling.
Although the location is not directly off the highway as it seems none
are in Canada, it is easy and convenient to get to. Two excellent
restaurants on site, a pool and Jacuzzi make it so you can sit back,
relax and not have worry about planning where to eat. Never a bad
experience anytime I have stayed.

I stay at the this best western because the location is great, near
where I work but also because it provides me with more comfort,
relaxation and the staff are the best. I stay about twice a month and
appreciate the courteous and friendly staff. I have also tried other
hotels through the years (going on seven since my business started and
this is the best of all.

I have been staying at this hotel each week on business trips since
December 2010. It is convenient to where I am working, has 2 restaurants
on site as well as fitness facilities and the pool/hot-tub. It is very
comfortable and has al the facilities in the room that I need for
working in. All staff there are extremely helpful, courteous and
friendly. I will continue to stay there till the end of June this year,
again each week, and am very happy to do so.

I travel a lot and this by far and away my favorite hotel to stay at.
The staff is very friendly, the food and drinks are great, and the rooms
are modern and very clean.

I have been staying at this Hotel regularly on business trips for the
past ten years - 2-6 nights a month.
Over this period I have come to know the friendly staff and they make my
stays pleasant and welcome. What makes me come back, however, is also
the place itself - always clean and immaculate, a fine coffee shop and a
great restaurant. Just the place to relax after a difficult day at work.

This hotel was ideal if the pool and hot tub were available. But since
they were not, I would have preferred to have a hotel a little closer to
my end destination. It was my understanding that hotel.com would notify
me if there were problems with the hotel conditions. I am disappointed
with hotels.com

We had a two-bedroom suite that was just right for our family of two
teens, two adults and a younger kid. There was plenty of room for us to
spread out in the room, and each had a nice HD TV. The kitchen also was
really nice. Good place to stay if you're in Coquitlam.

The staff was helpful and the room was beautiful. The room overlooked
the hotel atrium which was very tastefully landscaped. I've seen others
complain that the window doesn't look to the outside but I felt the
atrium was a nice alternative to the smog and traffic of Coquitlam,
Burnaby and Vancouver. The room was very clean (other than a few hairs
on the shower wall which did freak me out!). The staff was pleasant and
they allowed us a late check out of 2:00 p.m. Overall, we were very
pleased with our stay here.

Actually stayed July 2009, but didn't get around to this review. We used
a suite to accommodate our triplet granddaughters who needed to sleep in
between the time that our son got married and the reception. We also
used the space to entertain out of town guests. The pool was great, and
the staff was very professional and caring. Housekeeping worked their
cleaning around the girls naps. Everything possible was done to make our
stay comfortable.

Stayed here for three nights with a minor girls softball team. Rooms
were very good, and having suites was excellent for team meetings and
gatherings. Staff were excellent in arranging rooms for my group and
were great in trying to accommodate room arrangements on short notice in
the middle of summer.... not an easy feat.
I would highly recommend this hotel for groups travelling with children
and teens.

Our family would love to see Diana Stemler win employee of the year as
we strongly feel she has earned it, here is our story.
Since August 04,2010, with the exception of one week, our family of four
had been on an extended stay at the Best Western in Coquitlam, BC as we
are involved in an insurance claim due to a flood in our home. We were
staying at the hotel right up until the morning of Friday October
01,2010.
The insurance company representative that we were with, as well as the
adjuster whom they hired from another company, phoned Diana on or around
September 30,2010 to tell her that they were no longer paying for our
stay in the hotel as of September 13, 2010. Diana thought this was odd,
as well as unprofessional, to only give a family less than one full days
notice and then tell them they were to pay for a good portion of their
own bill. The extended stay is supposed to be covered until our home is
completed and in a liveable state, which it still is not.
Diana told us not to worry, that she would go to the top person of our
insurance company if she had to to straighten things out. You can
imagine the distress of being out of your home for two months while it
is being demolished and then supposedly repaired to its original state
(this has yet to happen, not sure if it ever will). This was traumatic
enough, and then we were told we had to pay a huge bill which made
absolutely no sense. We felt traumatized all over again. Our quality of
life had been so deeply affected in such a bad way by the insurance
company’s representative as well as the adjuster appointed to our
insurance claim as these people showed us no empathy, dignity or respect
in the midst of a situation that was not our fault.
Diana went to bat for us and we got news in the morning/early afternoon
from her that she had talked to the insurance representative’s boss and
told them she would never dream of treating her customers this way. The
end result was our hotel bill was taken care of by the insurance company
and Diana made us feel that we mattered.
Diana Stemler treated our family with compassion and empathy, making us
feel we could trust big businesses again. Diana Stemler made us feel
like we were family; the Best Western Family is a good family. Thank you
Diana from the bottom of my heart
