The Federation of Canadian Artists
(FCA)
is a not-for-profit organization, dedicated to the promotion and
professional development of artists, and services for art
collectors. It was established in 1941 with André Biéler as its
first president. Other leaders have included Group of Seven painter,
Lawren Harris. Dedicated to its aim of gradually raising the
artists' standards by stimulating participants to greater heights of
achievement, they opened what is believed to be the first completely
artist-sponsored gallery-workshop-studio in Canada.

Carol
Lopez
Carol Lopez is a Canadian painter based in Vancouver BC. She was
born in Saskatchewan and has lived in other parts of Canada and in
the West Indies. She has also traveled extensively, and these
experiences are reflected in the wide range of her oil, acrylic, and

surrounded by the arts from a young age. His father was a jazz
musician and mother a playwright, His grandfather was an
illustrator, so it never occurred to him that he couldn't do it. He

Eileen
Mosca
Eileen Mosca was born in New York City and is now a Canadian
citizen, living in Vancouver, British Columbia. As a teenager she
met her husband, Paul Mosca, and his archaeological researches led
her to live in Beirut, Rome, Jerusalem and Tunisia. These
experiences had an influence on her art, but the place that has had
the most profound impact on her work and her life has been
Vancouver.

Emily Reed
Emily Reed is a young artist from maple ridge, B.C. She began
painting only several years ago.
She is also a member of the garibaldi art club of maple ridge. |
Olga
Sugden
Olga Sugden was born in Lviv, Ukraine in 1962, where she received an
education in textile arts, and later, book illustration. Her
experience included textile design, theatre stage set design, and
book illustration.
In 1990, Olga moved to North America, where her works were exhibited
in Detroit, Toronto, London, and Chicago. She settled in the Pacific
Northwest where she has lived for the past 10 years with her family. |
Gregg Simpson
A prolific and critically recognized artist and musician, Gregg
Simpson has exhibited his paintings, drawings, and works on paper
throughout Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia. His work is
included in several academic studies, art history books and journals
published in Canada, Europe, and Australia and has been exhibited in
several historical surveys on surrealism and abstraction. |

Mandy Cohen
Mandy holds a degree in Psychology and Art from the University of
Manitoba along with an art and marketing diploma from the Toronto
Fashion Academy.
Art is a passion for Mandy as she enjoys "playing" in different
mediums for their individual captivating characteristics.

Oils and Acrylics for their rich textures and boldness
Love of colour and shape can be seen through Mandy's work while
exploring the soul and mood of the subject matter. Employing
different mediums and styles in her designs inspires fresh ideas and
energies.
Mandy's goal is for her artwork to tell a story, for each individual
to experience their own narrative quality in each piece.

Rita
Monaco - Paintings
Rita Monaco was born in Gioviano, Italy in 1945, and came to Canada
in 1967 settling in Edmonton, where she enrolled in the Fine Arts
Honor Program at the University of Alberta majoring in painting and
photography.
After a 20 year career as a graphic artist and illustrator, she
became a full time painter and art teacher in 1993. A Vancouver
resident since 1976, Rota Monaco's variety of subject matter
reflects her eclectic personality and her many interests.
Her annual trips to Italy, her adolescent daughter Francesca and her
garden's flowers and fruits, all provide inspiration for her
paintings. |
Shylene - Mosaic

Shylene is a mosaicist who incorporates each clients needs with her

works from and gives ceramic classes and workshops from her garden
studio in Kitsilano, Vancouver, as well as teaching and doing artist
in residence stints in public and private schools in the Lower
