My husband and I walked for blocks around the area along the ocean up
and down Robson Street and it was a great location. The food in the pub
was also very good and the staff was very friendly and clean and comfy.
I used my aero plan miles to pay for this hotel and I was very happy
with my choice.

Great hotel. Nice staff, lovely bright, clean spacious room. Clean
bathroom. Secure, safe, in a great part of the city. Beautiful Vancouver
Gastown just steps from the hotel.
However, I was shocked to hear that INTERNET was $18 for a 24-hour
period. It just seems so backwards. The room that we were staying in was
$140 a night and yet we STILL had to pay for FREE Wi-Fi. I've had free
wi-fi in EVERY HOTEL I've been to regardless of the hotel rating.
This is an essential service these days. ESPECIALLY if you are on
business.
AND - if you are a tourist in Vancouver for the first time, the Internet
would be really helpful to map out your sight-seeing.
Just be aware of this when you book because it's not mentioned on the
website.

The hotel was easy to find/get to from the airport, it is only a block
away from Waterfront station on the Canada line. The staff were
extremely helpful. After learning that we had arrived in Vancouver after
a 15 hr flight they arranged for us to check in early. They were also
very helpful in booking day tours. The hotel location is within walking
distance to gas town, chinatown and Robson st.
The room itself was large, with great amenities and very clean.

Well we got in to Vancouver after a marathon flight from western
Australia. The staff were quick and efficient, we even got a warm
welcome cookie, nice touch. The room was upgraded with no prompting and
was a lovely 1 brm suite. Was very pleased. The room service was nice
and they even call you after it's delivered to see what we thought.
Room was clean, no bugs, bed was soft. Good rates. Very handy to the
city, water front and gas town, well Vancouver is not that big anyway.
Overall I disliked Vancouver due to the smell, beggars, hookers, junkies
and guns, but the hotel was a nice sanctuary.

Here is the hotel for you if you want to explore Vancouver. The location
just outside Gastown is convenient to public transportation (Waterfront
Station--SeaBus, SkyTrain and Canada) and all of downtown. The hotel
itself was immaculate and the staff were always there, cheerful and
excited to help. Try to stay on the Signature floors to get access to
the Lounge for breakfast and snacks...super. Access to all floors is by
keycard only which made us feel very secure. Housekeeping staff were so
efficient as to be invisible, but our room was always clean and the bed
was turned down. We will never stay anywhere else in "Raincouver". |
