Guest Review of the Opus Hotel Vancouver Yaletown
December 20, 2011
Opus Hotel Vancouver went out of there way to make my sister and I comfortable,
well attended to and impressed. We enjoyed fun treats that were set up in our
room prior to arrival. Once we arrived one of their staff brought up some water
and a whether card. She was so kind to show us how the stereo worked because we
asked about music. The room was really fun, urban and beautifully laid out. The
heated bathroom tiles were fantastic. The bed and comforter were beyond amazing.
They are making me rethink my own. . We were surrounded by windows with the
option of pulling down a solid blind that made it feel like walls. 2 flat screen
tv's, a very cool partition awesome local art on the walls. I realized I forgot
my toothpaste and called up for some. The person who brought it up also brought
a toothbrush which was perfect because my sister forgot hers. We had breakfast
in the restaurant which had some good choices, but our server wasn't the best.
Besides that we had an amazing time. It was really neat to see that there was an
airport check in kiosk in the business room. They are very into keeping up on
what is new and fresh. Fantastic boutique hotel experience. Oh ya and greeted
with apple cider and champagne!

We had a great night at the Opus hotel in Vancouver. Really attentive and quick
service, amazing room and an all round great stay. Standouts were the delicious
calamari and drinks from the new Cento Notte restaurant. . and the perfect
double espresso. When a place is already great then it is the small details that
really make the difference.

We chose the Opus for it's location and because it looked like a nice hotel, but
we never anticipated how fabulous the service would be. The staff were super
friendly and helpful, both upon arrival and then again when we checked out. We
travel quite a bit and I can honestly say I can't remember the last time I was
this impressed with a hotel and it's service. The room was gorgeous and with so
many unique and thoughtful details, we would have liked to have had more time to
experience all that it offered. Also important room details: the bed and pillows
were extremely comfortable and the in-room coffee was great! This is a fabulous
choice for business or pleasure, with Yaletown and Vancouver at your doorstep.
This will definitely be where we stay when we return, except that next time we
will stay longer!

We had such a nice stay at the Opus! The location in Yaletown is great -- lots
of fun stores, restaurants and bars to walk to, plus Granville Island is just a
nice walk over the bridge away. The front desk was incredibly friendly --
offering us drinks and advice and always smiling. Check-in and valet parking
super quick and easy. Best part was our room. We had a superior queen which has
lovely. The heated floors in the bathroom made us say, "ahhhh" every time we
walked in. The window opens (a novelty these days), water pressure was great and
the bed was super comfy. The TV is small -- but, it was adequate and there is so
many other things to do. We were on the 5th floor and we could hear bar noise
when they closed, but with ear plugs it wasn't a problem. Maybe because
everything else was so nice it didn't really bother us. We will definitely stay
again. |
