go stay at The Sheraton just up the street. It is a much nicer hotel and not on such a noisy, dirty corner. You can tell they tried to fix up the rooms and they were really small but okay to put your head down for one night. They have key entry in the elevator but the stairs are right beside it so what's the point? The sales manager I talked to said we would get "full comp'd breakfast" but it was a continental breakfast. FULL breakfast means you get to order a hot meal, not cold hard boiled eggs and make yourself waffles! The front facade and lobby are badly in need of a facelift. Doolin's Pub downstairs gets really noisy at night as does Granville. Would I stay here again...nope...for $200. I can find a much nicer hotel.

I had some doubts about a hotel in the middle of town. However, this was a great experience. It is right downtown and is easy to access and find. It has great parking right next to the hotel. Great shopping several blocks away. The room was very nice. Great king sized bed--the most comfortable I've been in a long time. Great jetted tub. Quiet. Lots of room (we had a great corner room). The pub next store had great food and was discounted if you stayed in the hotel. The continental breakfast was good and bountiful. I would highly recommend this hotel for people who like comfortable, reasonable accommodations.

Not a great location if you have a teenager with you. Not very nice to walk about at night. Very few locations to eat. They give you 25% off before 7 pm at the Irish Pub where you have your breakfast. But that was useless as we had a 14 year old with us. Shame as it was very limited to what we could eat. Ended up in Nandos - one of my least favorite places. Free wifi. Beware - steps up from the street to reception with no assistance with cases. Breakfast buffet adequate although seating was a free for all with very few tables set up for four people. Did love the people make their lunch too!

We stayed here for 3 nights prior to our Alaskan cruise. The room was small but had a wonderful Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. Clean and great for a short stay where you will only be in the room to sleep. Within walking distance (less than a half mile) to Granville Island aquabus and an easy public bus ride to Stanley park. Nice basic continental breakfast in the adjacent pub/restaurant which is also a great place to eat lunch or dinner. Beware of the weekends, the nearby streets are packed with people bar hopping. You may want to ask for a room away from the pub. During the week is much quieter. Great little place for a decent price.

This hotel is okay if you just want somewhere to sleep and are not fussed about noise. The walls are paper thin. Other than that, clean and tidy. Comfortable. Shower in my room a bit faulty, but once you got it going it was great. Also TV a bit faulty. Very central location, so that was brilliant. Would consider staying here again, if I was doing more sightseeing. Not if I wanted a relaxing break.

We stayed here twice in June and July. Both times a helpful staff, clean rooms and breakfast OK. Downtown location close to Robson street and other facilities. At night sometimes noisy, because of drunk youngsters passing by in Nelson and Seymour street.

I stayed here on a girl's getaway with my mom and sister for 4 nights. The room was nothing special, but it was big enough, and clean.

The price seemed pretty good compared to other hotels I checked out that were also downtown, and this appeared to be the only one that also offered complimentary breakfast (boiled eggs, toast, waffles, fruit and muffins).

The staff seemed friendly enough, though we didn't have much interaction with them.

The location is perfect for anyone hoping to immerse themselves in Vancouver's downtown shopping/eating/nightlife seen. Although the hotel was amidst several nightclubs, there was very little street noise (probably something to do with the fact that there was about 1 food of space between windowpanes).

Overall, I would definitely stay here again when visiting downtown Vancouver.

We stayed here for 3 nights in April during a quick weekend getaway. Fantastic location, we were able to walk everywhere. We were not happy with our room the first night on one of the lower floors due to noise and smell, but the hotel happily switched us for the remaining nights the next morning to a higher floor and the new room was great. Continental breakfast in the pub was great! This hotel is not the fanciest, but it was great value for its location. I would return here.

We were in Vancouver for the marathon on May 1. Stayed five nights in hotel. Excellent value, view of English Bay from the 5th floor, windows that opened. Take a room on the back side away from the traffic on the Granville Bridge. Good underground parking. Restaurant hours were spotty but there are lots of places nearby. Walk over bridge to the island. Close to Seawall walk around False Creek.

Great location, extra friendly staff. We stay 4 in room with two double beds and it was more than enough place. Breakfast was served in the pub and it was perfect. Especially I like think that you can make pancakes with maple syrup by own . :)

Went over for a concert and wanted to be able to walk to Rogers Arena. Our room was upgraded as asked and VERY comfortable. You must realize that this is an older building so there are little quirks - the stairs heading down to the lobby for example take a zig & a zag but nothing to be concerned about. Staff very helpful, parking right beside the building that is monitored. Pub was good although our waitress had an attitude - what ever LOL. Great location of your like night life & people watching! Would definitely stay there again.
