Review of the Executive Hotel Vintage Park Vancouver

Nice clean hotel with very friendly staff!! The room was too small
though but you get what you pay for. I booked through here and got the
room for cheap so can't complain when you get to stay in downtown
Vancouver for a good price. I would stay here again. Walking distance to
alot of good places.

We stayed at this hotel over the recent holiday weekend to visit family
in the area. This is not our first stay at this location - about our
sixth time - and it will not be the last.
Why - the service is first rate and the food served in the restaurant is
great - served with a smile and good value.
The rooms only have queen sized beds - not a show stopper - as the other
features in the room make up for it completely.
More about the service - the front desk and housekeeping provided to our
every expectation and need - not that we are demanding guests - more on
the lines - we expect things to be in place without asking. This is the
level we received.
I do on a regular basis travel for work and I get to see a full range of
hotels - some brand new and others at the tired end. This hotel is
coming up for a face lift, in my opinion - but the staff do care and
maintain it in a very expectable condition.
Free Internet - check with your room rate - I think on most rooms its
included - it was with our booking.

Albert the concierge and the Romance pkge made our date in the city even
more memorable. Honeymoon Suit with jacuzzi tub in the room was
beautiful and the Valet parking was a fantastic touch. Only complaint
was the construction across the street which can't be helped by them.

I was a little bit worried when I read some of the other reviews. So I
was even more impressed with this Euro style hotel with the best
location ever.
The location can't be beat whether you have a car or not. You can easily
walk to everything in downtown Vancouver. The rooms are on the small
side, but make up with a refrigerator, free Internet, coffe/tea, and a
whole wall of windows that open to the fresh air. I really liked the
layout of my room since I could wake up facing outdoors. OK, parking is
$27/day, but you really don't need a car in Vancouver.
I even liked the fancy soaps and creams in the bathroom. I like lots of
towels since I like to take a shower before going out in the evening.
There could have been another set of towels in the bathroom.

My girlfriends and I went downtown for a ladies night again. It's prime
season in Vancouver so we know that we couldn't luck out on Priceline
again and get a great 4 * + room for a good value. This room was two
full beds for 176 + taxes. Firstly I get that it's on Howe St, however
the parking was outrageous. 31 dollars a night. How can I stay at more
exclusive hotels right downtown and it's cheaper? The room we had was
very small. Very good prices on the mini bar if you are into that.. My
gf's and I just bring mixers from home as we generally go out to a nice
place for dinner and then go to the club afterwards.
The hotel definitely is in need of an upgrade. Wall paper everywhere,
old carpet everywhere and chipped paint peeling from the baseboards. It
was definitly an old timer, but appeared to be clean. The mattress and
pillows were awful. I've stayed at Ramada's that were more comfortable.
I've stayed in an Executive brand hotel before which I believe the one
in Harrison Hot Springs is - total luxury compared to downtown Vancouver
! The pillow was the worst. I could have called for a new one, but it
was 230am by the time we got back to our hotel room so I didn't want to
nag. The mattress was really really firm. Overly firm and very low to
the ground. I felt like I was living at home again sleeping on my
mattress I had when I was 12.
Overall, when I go downtown and pay this much for a 3 star I really
didn't expect this. I get it's not spacious I get it's not upgraded or
newly renovated, but I expect it to a tleast be comfortable and to have
a good nights sleep and not feel guilty about possibly looking for
somewhere else to park. |
