The huge but inviting lobby provided a very favorable impression. The
restaurant/bar was cozy and the service excellent. The room proved to be what a
nice hotel can offer. Large, great view and very clean. We greatly enjoyed our
stay in the Four Seasons

i was in Vancouver for siggraph and this was a great location. the neighborhood
was very nice (in between the hotel and the convention center were stores like
Cartier...so you know the location isn't shabby). to get to the hotel from the
airport was a breeze. you just hop on the Canada Line, get off at the Vancouver
Centre Station stop, and you're basically across the street from the hotel
($8.75 from the airport, $3.75 back to the airport - there is a $5 origination
charge from the airport). check in was easy, the room was pretty standard - i
had a "city view" - king bed, desk, TV, full bath, closet, & a safe. the room
was serviced 2x/day, was very clean and had l'occitane products in the bathroom
- i'm really picky about using hotel products, but these were great and didn't
dry out my hair or skin. you could hear street noise and seagulls, but what do
you expect from being in a highrise close to the water. to get to the convention
center, siggraph had shuttles going to/from the hotel, but the walk was only ~6
blocks, the weather was nice, and there were 4 starbucks (and a bunch of other
restaurants in between) so i walked everyday and it was quite pleasant. Gastown
is an easy walk from the hotel as well and with such a convenient train stop
location, you can get around pretty easily. the concierge was great - they gave
me maps and recommendations for what to do. the hotel also exchanged some money
for me, and had postcards and stamps for sale (which i always send back to my
niece and nephew). when it came to check out, they had 2 locations to print out
your boarding passes which was easy and free. overall - a very pleasant
experience.

I had an excellent stay here. I was upgraded to a suite which was great.
Although the furnishings seemed a little drab and dated - not up to the usual
Four Seasons standards, the room was immaculate and extremely comfortable. The
best things about this hotel is its location in central downtown across from the
Vancouver Art Gallery, the restaurant and the amazing roof deck and pool. I
didn't use the pool which is an indoor/outdoor pool and fitness room this trip
but the deck is huge, beautifully landscaped and with lots of comfortable
seating. I spent several hours enjoying a beautiful day relaxing on the deck.
The hotel's restaurant is also super - the best breakfast I have had in
Vancouver and a great bar area. The only negative was the $12 per day wi-fi
charge which is ridiculous when you're paying top dollar for a room.

The thing that separates this hotel from some of the other new luxury hotels
that have opened in Vancouver recently is the exceptional Four Seasons service.
I am a loyal Four Seasons customer and always will be. Although this property is
a little dated compared to some of their others, the service is impeccable. On
one occasion they knew it was my birthday and upon arrivle had a cake waiting in
the room.
Like I said before, the hotel is a little dated, however they recently went
through a multimillion dollar renovation. This allowed them to update all rooms
and common areas. The lobby is beautiful and understated, as are the knew
furnishings in each guestroom/suite (big improvement in the bathrooms). Overall
the hotel has greatly improved its overall look in the past few years, while
maintaining that FS standard of excellence in service.
If you're looking to dine at the hotel, room service is a must (no matter what
time of day). In addition to the room service there is the trendy YEW restaurant
in the lobby, they have a good selection of dining options, and offer an upscale
atmosphere. You will find the young, jetset, and goodlooking as a the regular
clientele.
The added bonus of staying at the Four Seasons is the location of the property.
It is situated right atop the Pacific Centre, and although this may seem like a
nightmare to some, as it gets packed with people after 2pm, it does offer the
luxury retailer Holt Renfrew at the one end of the centre. The Van art gallery
is right across the street, along with a number of good restaurants and shops
(Robson/Burrard St.)
Overall I would strongly recommend this hotel as one of the best luxury hotels
currently in Vancouver.

This hotel is located perfectly on West Georgia, downtown Vancouver. It is very
close proximity to all the great shopping on Robson, as well as a short walk to
the waterfront where you can stroll along the seawall and go to some nice
restaurants. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the rooms are very well
appointed. In fact, the beds and pillows are so comfy, I bought the pillows to
bring home! ;-) This hotel is also attached to the Pacific Centre which is a
nice mall with tons of great stores-- great when it is rainy and you don't want
to venture outside. The gym and fitness centre with the indoor/outdoor pool is
beautiful and clean, and the complimentary coffee/fruit bar is a nice touch.

Hotel is ok...what you would expect from an establishment that charges their
rates.
Highlight: L'Occitane bath products
Unpleasant surprise: They actually charge $12/day for internet....?!
Unexpected and borderline insulting. They are not an "all inclusive" budget
establishment that charges the bare minimum and therefore needs the extra
revenue desperately. Quite the opposite.
On the bright side, if your room overlooks the lovely Metropolitan Hotel across
the street you may be able to connect to their free wifi.
I was expecting less of a nickel and dime attitude from the Four Seasons.
