Overall happy with our 3 night stay here. Location is good - a short
walk to Robson, Davie, or even Granville Island; wherever one wanted to
go. We had booked a suite and really appreciated the extra room that
afforded. Parking and internet were extra, although the latter was
available free in the lobby. Decor and bed excellent. Flat screen TV,
etc. Were a bit concerned the first night due a gathering of
questionable types one block away around the YMCA...one wondered about
safety. Happily, this was a one-time occurrence and there were no actual
incidents. Staff very friendly. My only complaint was the charge for
in-room internet. Almost amusing to go to the lobby at any time and find
literally dozens of people there accessing the free internet. One would
think management would take the hint and do the right thing...

We stay at this hotel every year when we visit St Paul.
The price is great and the fact that it is right beside the hospital
can't be beat.
This year (2011) we found the staff to be wonderful. The few previous
years they have been quite unfriendly and unhelpful.
We will continue to stay at this hotel every year and appreciate the
cleanliness and fair price of this hotel.
Please note that this is an older hotel so you are going to see wear and
tear. However the bathrooms are very beautiful but small in the rooms
we've stayed in.
Room Tip: All the rooms have a great view of the city. You are going to
hear city noises so expect that but it was perfectly fine.

I spent 7 nights at the Century Plaza Hotel, and very comfortable in the
hotel. The Century Plaza offers suites which include a small
kitchenette, with fridge, microwave, coffee pot, sink and dining table.
For a long stay, it was a nice convenience to be able to carry out to my
room, and store leftovers. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom small,
and the entire suite in need of a decorative upgrade.
The hotel is conveniently located to Robson St. shopping and dining as
well as Davie Village (shopping and dining). I was at the convention
centre for a week, and the hotel was within walking distance, but
returning is up hill. I found the prices to be a bargain compared to
other properties I investigated prior to booking.
I found the hotel staff to be helpful, and the restaurant good.

The entrance, reception, check-in, restaurant are impressive and
designed in a very modern style. Unfortunately our room 2205 needed some
refurbishing - a bed side light not working (quickly replaced), and a
shortage of hanging space (easily resolved by replacing the low drawer
unit next to bed with a large wardrobe). However the view towards the
bay and mountains was especially impressive at night, the room was large
as was the bed that was very comfortable. We did not make use of the
kitchenette. Dinner in the restaurant was very good, breakfast was good
If we are in Vancouver again we would probably stay here again.
