Review of the Executive Hotel Vintage Park Vancouver

The hotel itself was sufficient for short term stays. They are quite
small and quaint but do the job. The staff were helpful especially the
concierge. The location is on the end of the main street which is the
biggest plus for this place.

Small, but nice room. Excellent service. In 10 minutes walking distance
to downtown. Parking fees as always in this area very high, 27 Canadian
Dollar per night, but the car was parked in a gated garage and access
was permitted only with your room card.

I stayed here with my mum last year whilst on holiday from Australia.
The staff were friendly. My only tip (no pun intended) would be for
staff to bear with people who come from non-tipping countries. Vancouver
was the first stop on our trip, and there were some embarrassing/awkward
moments. I think maybe a "guide to tipping" in the bedrooms would be a
big help.
We stayed in two different rooms during our stay. The first was spacious
and comfortable and clean. The second (after we'd returned from a night
in Victoria) was clean and comfortable, but much more cramped. But we
were only there the night, so no big deal.
The location was good, and we were able to be collected from our hotel
for all the different tours we did.
The wi-fi was a bit intermittent.
All in all, I was happy with my experience and I'd definitely stay here
again.

We stayed here from July 1 - July 7. The hotel is in the ideal location
for shopping, nightclubs, etc. Many things are walking distance and it's
close to the sky train as well. The hotel itself was average in our
opinion. The rooms were very small. We had a 2 double bed room. The beds
themselves were smaller then double and hard. Was difficult for 2 adults
to sleep on one 'double' bed. The rooms were kept clean. We had problems
with our internet the first night but the maintenance staff member was
great and fixed it promptly. We did not feel very welcome when we would
enter and leave the lobby as staff would just stare at us and not say
anything. The bellman was also rude because we had just arrived our first
night and did not have any tip money because we had no change. Mike was
our favorite team member of the hotel. He was energetic and very helpful
with directions and telling us about different activities. The free
breakfast at the restaurant was excellent and the service was great. We
paid $715 incl flight and hotel. Which was a great price for a great
location and a decent hotel. I would return and rate this hotel 3/5

I stayed here with my wife and two kids while in Vancouver for business.
The location is fantastic, everything else about this hotel is horrid.
The room we stayed in was supposed to be an extended stay suite. It was
poorly equipped, broken pots, 3 glasses, not enough cutlery, no can
opener, and on and on... The beds gave me a back ache that I am still
recovering from, not to mention how dirty everything was. The bathroom
was poorly cleaned and had dirt there probably from the building's
construction. The window in our unit was broken (could not open). I will
stop the ranting and simply say, DO NOT STAY HERE.
The staff was sincere and approachable, but upper management has yet to
understand proper communication and negotiation with guests.
Overall, there is so much potential to this hotel, I feel sad writing
this review, but until someone with a vision runs it, travelers should
avoid it. |
