PROS: We booked our Canucks package through this hotel. This is an excellent deal as it includes lower bowl seats (7 rows up from the ice near the home net) and a free continental breakfast at the pub downstairs in addition to accommodations the night of the game. Free breakfast consisted of cereals, muffins, fruit, oatmeal, as well as a waffle making station, orange and apple juices, coffee and hot chocolate etc. Very nice. Within walking distance to Rogers arena/BC place and located RIGHT in the heart of Granville. A variety of pubs and clubs and shopping options nearby. This was our third time staying at this hotel. Rooms are tidy, beds are comfortable. Staff at check in was nice, especially a young man named Patrick who, when we arrived hours before check-in was quick to put our bags in storage so we could explore the city. Efficient check in and out.

CONS: I noticed the rooms looked a little dingier than they did a few years ago (they need a fresh coat of paint-- badly). They have updated the tv's and have some flat screens in the king rooms, they could have went the extra mile by attempting to hide the wires and cables that are attached to the tvs. Bath tubs are small. Walls are super thin-- we spent the first night listening to the neighbors having sex-- NOT my idea of a good time. They did give our group a complimentary upgrade the first night from a two double bed room to a double bed with a pullout couch room.

Room Tip: Request a room on the highest floor, this will lessen the noise from the pub (doolins) and the club (the cellar) below-- Unless you plan on making use of the complimentary club passes guests get!

Really liked this hotel, super helpful staff, great location - right in the city centre and above two excellent bars/clubs. Surprisingly it is not noisy (stayed on 4th floor). The beds are so lovely and really comfortable I could've stayed in there for days.. Highly recommend this hotel, I've stayed in a few diff ones (around this price range) in Vancouver and this is my favorite.

We stayed here 2 nights. The hotel is located in the heart of the shopping and entertainment district.
Helpful staff, clean room, although with decoration which reminds you of the seventies. Breakfast in the pub, connected to the hotel. Fair price for what you get.

On the minus side, we asked for a quiet, high room when we booked and paid in advance. We were given a first floor room by an alley/car park and were woken up on each of the two Friday nights and the Saturday by women who were screaming and throwing up at two in the morning. Breakfast was a bit average compared to other Comfort Inns. However, lovely beds, really nice staff, free internet and close to the transport links and shops.

We regularly stay at the Comfort downtown. Nice upgrade, thank you. Room very spacious, with 3 windows - alot of light (a little too much from Granville) but still enjoyed opening the windows. Fireplace & 2 person whirlpool . These are the most comfortable king beds !! Very clean & great Staff. Can't beat the location for walking. Weekends are very lively & noisy so be sure to request a room on higher floor. Can't understand how people comment on the breakfast, rare to find a downtown hotel who even offers a free breakfast, yes, it's basic but a great start. We look forward to sitting in the beautiful pub having a coffee & relaxing in the morning
