Reviews of the Marriott Vancouver Pinnacle Hotel

We spent 3 nights at Pinnacle in late November. We flew into Vancouver
and did not have a car. The hotel is located downtown convenient to the
convention centre and a nice walk to virtually anywhere in the city
centre. Close to all the shopping and restaurants that you could want.
The city transit can easily take you beyond the area to all kinds of
neat places like Stanley Park and Granville Island.
The hotel is very nice. We asked for a room on a higher floor and had a
wonderful view. My wife loved the extra armchairs and ottoman from where
she would relax and read while I did a little business. The hotel staff
were wonderful from the bellmen, to the front desk, concierge and
restaurant staff. Everyone we asked for help was glad to do it with a
smile on their faces.
The king size bed was very comfortable, we slept wonderfully.
We would stay here again in a heart beat.

Stayed for a weekend in November - about my tenth time back to this
hotel. Always encounter excellent service from the Valet to Front Desk
staff. Rooms are always in great condition and very clean and I LOVE the
Bath and Body Works amenities!! Way to go and keep up the great work.
Will surely be back!

I have stayed three times at the Pinnacle. Twice I booked through
Priceline, the trip in between was booked as a regular Marriott rewards
guest. They do not treat all guests as equals here and the bad review
here is being given after the staff were dismissive of me at both
Priceline stays but not at the Marriot booked stay? For the second time
I watched several guests in front of me be offered extra amenities and
information when they checked in free internet, newspapers, water etc,
then when I book in nothing. Not a good practice Marriott. If I am at a
4 star I should be treated like I am at a 4 star, even if i paid less
then other guests. The business center is small, hot and the printer
smudges. They spray terrible green floral room deodorant that just
stinks during cleaning. On a positive note the linens and blankets are
awesome at the Marriott Pinnacle.

As noted by many reviewers, the location is fabulous. Many good and
interesting restaurants within walking distance, two blocks to the
harbor and seaplanes to Victoria, a bit of a walk but doable to Stanley
Park, a few blocks to Vancouver's most famous shopping street. It was a
little annoying that they charge for internet connection, but that seems
to be the trend - free at lower priced accommodation (including other
Marriott brands), expensive at the top end places. Nice clean room with
very comfortable bed and bedding. Very nice pool and exercise area.
Didn't try the restaurant as there are so many great places to eat
nearby.

Hotel had a great location and I really enjoyed the harbor view - worth
requesting if you can. Very central location made for easy access
throughout downtown and Vancouver vicinity. The room was on the smaller
side, but comfortable and up to the standard I expect from Marriott.
Staff was courteous and helpful. |
