Stayed at the Compass Point Inn for work and it was my first time in Canada.
Check in was easy and fast. Got a great room and was very comfortable. But the
highlight was Jackie at the front desk. We were there for a week and every night
she gave us recommendations for dinner and where to hang out after work. She
pointed me to the Big Ridge to watch the Canucks with some Beer Fries. Just a
great person and very friendly. My company is in the area maybe every other
month and we usually stay at the Best Western or Holiday Inn. I have told our
travel person to send us to the CPI from now on. Cant say enough good things
about it. Hope to see Jackie there again next time.
Room Tip: Rooms in the rear are quieter.

My husband and I stayed at the Compass Point in on a mini-break overnight a
couple of weekends ago. We were having renovation work done on our home and just
wanted to get away from the chaos. We took advantage of their Romance package
for $179. Got a gorgeous room for the night, a bottle of champagne in our room
when we arrived, and a $50 gift certificate for the hotel's on-site steak house.
The food was great, the service from their concierge staff was fabulous, and the
ambiance of the hotel was lovely. It is also close by to all amenities for easy
access to shopping, markets, and coffee shops. All of these elements made for
one of the most memorable weekends we have ever had together. We highly
recommend this hotel.

The service was top notch Rose and the staff really know the value of customer
service and Put the guests needs first. The room was Comfortable and good for a
little entertaining of a few people. The location is prime for hockey
enthusiasts, located right beside the king george sky train station makes it
easy access to Rogers Arena about 35 mins by train so you can have a few "pops"
and not be worried about getting back to the hotel. It has a great Pub that
raffles off Canucks jerseys on game nights during the games right downstairs and
a Liquor store around the back. for fine dining Jake's is located right in the
lobby and the prime rib is most excellent for 15 dollars you cant go wrong. for
breakfast there is a little Bistro with a cheery staff to ensure a great
nutritious start to your day. There is a pool and hot tub in the building it is
a little hard to get to but never the less its there. And the Best Part of the
stay was the lifetime friends you make with the front desk staff treat them well
and you will be in good hands.

Aside from the hotel's location and restaurants our stay was ok. The pool and
hot tub were the same temperature. The temperature being luke warm. As well,
that area could certainly use a detailed cleaning. We choose that hotel for it's
location and because I was travelling with kids I also choose it for it's
pool/hot tub.
The service was great and the staff very friendly.

I am sorry to hear that you had a disappointing stay at our hotel. I have looked
into the temperature issue with the pool and our records show that our
maintenance person checked the pool temperature on Wednesday morning, December
29th. The temperature read 104 degree, which is the maximum limit for the pool
by law. The burner had gone out sometime between Wednesday morning, after the
temperature was checked and Thursday morning. The part was fixed December 31st
and the temperature was returned to normal. We are sincerely sorry for the
inconvenience you encountered. We are also aware that the pool needs updating
and it is scheduled for renovations next month. Again, we apologize for your
disappointing stay and we thank you for your input. We hope that you will come
back in the future to see our changes.

The Compass Point Inn was in the vicinity of a company Christmas Party my
husband and I attended recently. Rather than drive we decided to book a room and
stay overnight at this hotel. Our stay pleasantly exceeded our expectations. We
found our room to be very clean, cozy and comfortable. The room included
wireless internet, a microwave and a bar fridge. The inclusion of these
amenities in the rooms impressed us very much. We had dinner in 'Jake's Surrey
Restaurant Steakhouse' and found both food quality and service to be excellent.
Our meal was delicious! We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone! It
certainly is an 'affordable jewel' to be found in Surrey, BC
