Vancouver, Coast & Mountains Tourism Region is one of the six regional
destination marketing organizations for the tourism industry in Super, Natural
British Columbia. Geographically it includes, Greater Vancouver, Sea to Sky
Country (including Whistler), Mighty Fraser Country and the Sunshine Coast.
Its marketing focus is on the group and independent leisure traveller with
interests in sightseeing and attractions, golf and/or adventure. Marketing
activities include publications (the annual Vancouver, Coast & Mountains Travel
Guide, Guide to Spectacular Golf and several itinerary brochures), cooperative
advertising in magazines and newspapers, attendance at consumer and trade shows.
Other activities include working with media to develop articles, coordination of
fam tours for media and tour operators, and conducting research to ensure
marketing activities have an identifiable influence.
