i have stayed at The Aspens just down the hill and this place is similar
BUT..
the place seemed scruffier - the room was dusty- had a funky smell- a
toaster that could barley toast 1 side of a piece of bread.
Breakfast included BUT when we went down at 9 am - nothing left.
1 girl was trying to get things for people- but no bowls left to put
cereal in, all the scrambled egg gone?
Somebody should be keeping up with demand.
I mentioned it later and was told that was the rush time, great.
Bit of a dump really.
Rooms are dark and funky.
I suppose you get what you pay for.
Next time i will upgrade.
Oh yeah - people banging on doors at 2a.m. as well...seems a lot of
young kids stay here...trying to get into the rooms at 2-3 a.m.- banging
on the doors to get their friends to wake up - thanks.

Still our choice
Now that Coast Hotels took over from Residence Inn, I believe that the
parking fee is new, now but free wireless internet, makes up for that.
Very comfortable beds, and now has flat screen tv. Being a ski resort,
no air conditioning is pretty standard, but a fan was present to keep
the air circulating on summer days. Very happy with our stay as usual,
but my only suggestion to them is that although the parking spaces are
narrow, it should be standard policy that the jerks that take up two
spaces should be charged double!!

Will be returning!!!
My teenage son and I spent 4 days biking, hiking, walking and laying by
the pool. Breakfast was an awesome start everyday and the staff were
friendly, attentive and happy to be there. The shuttle was very
convenient and reliable. We enjoyed returning at night to our nice
quiet, peaceful retreat after a bussling evening in the village. It will
be an annual trip for us!!!

This hotel has a perfect location! Being the farthest hotel up the
mountain made it perfect for hiking. Although we did not stay in the
winter, I am sure that this hotel would be perfect for skiing and
snowboarding because of its location. You can just walk out to the ski
slope and walk down to the Peak-2-Peak gondola. The hotel was lodge
styled and very comfortable. The rooms where very cozy and clean. The
pool and two hot tubs were perfect to play around in, but the only
problem was that there were hardly enough pool chairs. Another great
quality to this hotel was that breakfast was served daily. Although the
breakfast wasn't top-notch food, it was great considering that most
hotels do not serve breakfast. Whistler is a very fun town. There are
many small lakes that are perfect for swimming, many trails for hiking
and walking, and we even saw a bear cub! Overall a nice, and comfortable
hotel.

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with your
feedback. We will look into the pool furniture comment you made but
pleased to hear that otherwise it was a wonderful experience.

the room. It can get pretty hot up there. It is still just a free
standing unit, but does cool down the room considerably. You are still
allowed pets ($25/day) which is nice and the bus to the village is right
in front of your door. Parking is $15. There is a trail if you like to
walk. Unfortunately all the parking in the village is now pay-parking
(even the big day parking areas). The breakfast is included and is
really very extensive and good. The daily paper is a nice touch! All
considered it is a good place to stay. We enjoy it every year in the
summer months. We tried the Peak to Peak gondola this time. It is really
a great experience. Stay for lunch on top - the view is free.

Comfy room with excellent breakfast included. Ideally located on scenic
slopes above the village. Shuttle bus provides easy access to the
services in Whistler. Helpful and pleasant staff.

I knew when I booked this place that it wasn't going to be a high class
hotel, but that wasn't the reason we went there.
What this place is is the most 'Ski-in, Ski-out' place I've ever skied
in and out of!
It is right on the run that runs down to the Wizard chair. You pick up
your skis from the decent in-house ski shop, walk out the door, walk
about 10 paces and go! You can ski right into the ski shop when you
return to the hotel if somebody holds the door for you! Brilliant!
Don't hire a car. The bus is brilliant. The town is brilliant and the
mountains are even more brilliant. The weather is a bit of bear
sometimes though. Can there be too much snow?
Anyway, the hotel is comfy, the breakfast is free and nourishing and
Whistler is a star. I can't think of a better value way to enjoy it.
