Hotel Review of the Pan Pacific Hotel Whistler Village Centre
Dec 2010
Everyone we encountered in our 5 day stay was supremely friendly, helpful and
soliticious, from the front desk staff to the wait staff, the spa staff, the
bellhop, and the security guy. The room/apartment is well appointed, comfortable
and clean. Complaints: dirty vents in both bathrooms, lousy internet service,
and noisy HVAC. There is no excuse for the dirty vents. The hotel made a valiant
effort to fix the internet service, and we observed that staff spent hours in
the server closet, but the problem during our stay only migrated from
agonizingly slow to fast but abrupt outages. I give the hotel full points for
taking our complaint seriously and getting right to work on resolution...just
wish the resolution had been achieved during our staff. We resolved the HVAC
noise by simply turning off the system, and found that we were plenty warm
without heating our unit. Best part of the stay were the service and the acres
of space.

his place is simply awesome. They give you a key to keep your skis next to the
mountain and then you are staying right in t he village. Very clean and friendly

A wonderful treat
Located centrally this hotel is the greatest place to stay in Whistler. It is
clean , welcoming and has a kitchen which is so important when trying to keep
costs down. The buffet continental breakfast is copious, fresh and delicious

We loved this hotel. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was
decent. I loved the location. You could walk to everything. My son enjoyed the
pool. We will definitely come back again.

We stayed at the Pan Pacific Village Center for two nights in October 2010. We
were upgraded to a queen room from a queen room with a murphy bed, the room
consisted of a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom with tub and shower. The staff was great and we would definitely stay
there again.

35th wedding anniversary, took mountaineering train ride from Vancouver to
whistler, book pan pacific hotel, our bed was soft mattress, end up sleeping on
sofa, breakfast was very disappointing, overall not a good experience. Paying
for four star, got two star service and experience.

Having read the reviews, i booked for this hotel and to say the very least we
were not disappointed. The level of customer service, standard of the room /
suite and location were second to none - or certainly no other can compare that
i have ever visited.
On arrival the desk staff were very pleasant and friendly and delighted to see
us - the paying customer. What a breath of fresh air ! You may say that's their
job but how many times have you turned up at a front desk to be ignored or
treated poorly ? Fear not in the Pan Pacific the staff are either brain washed
in the "how to be nice school" or are just the very best hand picked lovely
staff they could get - im going with the latter. Bar none every one of them were
the nicest hotel staff ive came across.
We were upgraded to a suite on arrival which left our daughters a little
flabbergasted at the sheer size of the room / suite - they are well aware this
wasnt the norm ! The views from the seventh floor was stupendous towards the
mountains and the ski runs. The location is in the middle of Whistler pedestrian
zone - literally a one minute walk to everything including the bottom of the two
big gondolas for winter holidays of summer mountain biking.
The outside pool and hot tubs were worth a dip in as well and i imagine perfect
for a hard day after skiing.
There's plenty of eating places in whistler, we were at the Keg, first class
steaks and also Earls, again spot on with the standard of food and service. Best
book any of the two of them at the weekends or high season as we had to wait
about forty minutes at Earls on the Saturday night.
The peak to peak highest gondola in the world is well worth a doing but jeso
-its high at over 1400 feet above the valley floor. Theres also a few silver
gondolas which have glass viewing floor panels.
The only downside of Whistler and in no way a reflection of the Pan Pacific is
that its pricey. That said we found Canada in general quite pricey, but the
friendliness of the people made up for that {til the CC bill comes in !}.

Hotel: Good clean hotel in the middle of the village. We had a 2 bedroom suite
on the 4th floor (4419) overlooking the pool and mountains. It was an end unit.
The room was clean with a clean decor. This is a 4 star hotel and it definitely
is a solid 4 star.We used the House
Shuttle when we needed to go farther than feet can take us, they also
pick up. Altogether a very pleasant stay and we found a very reasonable rate on

This hotel was recommended to us by friends and we were not
disappointed. Our family of 4 stayed here for two nights in early
September in one of the two bedroom suites. The room was superb with 2
queen size beds (one a pull-out) and a very comfortable king size.
Bathrooms were large and well equipped and our kids (18 & 21) especially
liked the iPod docks. The concierge and front desk went out of their way
to help us book a round of golf. The included breakfast was excellent.
This was the best hotel we stayed in during our 2 week holiday.
