Hotel Review of the
Cascade Lodge Whistler

This property was located at the end of whistler village. So close to
restaurants and cafes in the village.
Our room was only a studio which was compact. Had a small kitchenette ,
kettle, toaster, coffee maker. I saw a one bed room unit and would have
preferred that as it was very roomy.
Our room over looked the swimming pool and mountains in the back ground.
The spa was hot and very enjoyable.
My only gripe is - Our stay would have been perfect if the front desk
staff had a little more enthusiasm for the job. The greetings were always
luke warm , and not very welcoming.

Whistler Village - about a 2 minute walk We go here each year. I
actually go as part of my condo, not as a hotel. From what I am told,
the condo units and the hotel units are similar.
The Cascade Lodge is just outside Whistler Village, so the location is
great. There is a small ski shot to buy the essentials before you hit
the slopes…not sure what it turns into during summer months. The
concierge has always been helpful and the maintenance staff keep things
clean.
The units are fairly small, but well appointed. The decks are
tiny…..just enough room to stand and enjoy your cigar.
The underground parking is nice and the ramp leading to it is heated so
no worries about sliding in the winter. The outdoor area has a few
hot-tubs and a year-around pool.
It is the perfect place to enjoy some fine dining, romantic settings,
and beautiful scenery.

The Room was very good, clean, good size, and good kitchen. only the
mattress on the principal room was very soft. a small hot tub not to
fit. This hotel was great! The price was right. It is a short walk to
the village square. Pool area is awesome. Would definitely stay there
again.
Shopping only a 1/2 block away. Sobey’s and the village stroll with all
kinds of shops and eating opportunities.

This hotel is in an excellent location, close to shopping, restaurants
and access to the Valley Trail. The rooms are clean and comfortable and
the staff friendly and helpful. We have stayed at this hotel several
times and will not hesitate to stay again.

This hotel is in a great location just steps from Whistler Village. We
had a studio room which I expected to be small but not this small. The
website said we would have a kitchenette and table for eating but I
didn’t expect it to be at the very foot of the bed, which it was. You
couldn’t even sit at the table and watch TV because there was no room to
do so. It was also not kept up very well - there was a pile of dirty
laundry in the hallway by our room the second night we were there and it
stayed there for the following two days and was still there when we
left, as well as a bag of trash. The pool area was nice and had a great
view of the mountain but the hot tub was too hot to even sit in. Overall
I think if you got a 1- or 2-br this place would be better but I don’t
recommend the studio!

Having the kitchenette was great and we cooked dinner in the room two
nights. It was fully stocked with dishes, silverware, and even pans to
cook with. There was a mini fridge so you can’t bring many groceries and
only a small area for frozen stuff. The room didn’t have an oven but the
stove worked great. We walked along the Valley Trail for hours one day
out by the golf course and it was beautiful - I would highly recommend
this for a nice, cheap activity.

We have our timeshare in this hotel and we love it. We usually have one
bedroom place with a kitchen. One time we even had our Thanksgiving
dinner there, the kitchen has everything you need.
Its easy in, easy out by car with an underground parking and the hotel
is about a 10 min walk to the slopes and less than 5 to the center of
the village.
There is a heated outdoor pool and 2 hot tubs with views of Whistler and
Blackcomb mountains. There is also a ski rental shop located off the
lobby and a little fitness room, so it has everything you and your would
family need.

Cascade Lodge Whistler

We booked the Cascade lodge because it was the best priced accommodation
over the Christmas period.
The location is great, 5-10 minutes walk to the lifts, lots of shops &
restaurants nearby. At night it was very quiet, we have stayed at other
hotels in the main village area which were very noisy at night. The
Cascade is just on the outskirts but not too far away.
We had a studio room overlooking the pool & mountains. The view was
fantastic.
The pool is open from 10am-10pm, we didn't hear any noise after 10pm.
The studio was fine, no more, no less then of 3 star standard. The room
itself is the size of a hotel room with a mini kitchen. The kitchen is
great for breakfasts but not ideal to cook dinner as it is very small.
We had dinner out each night so that wasn't a problem.
The bed was comfortable, a nice flat screen tv, the bathroom was clean
with a deep soaker bath. The furnishing were a little dated but the room
was very clean so that didn't bother us. For the price we paid compared
to other hotels over this period we were happy. You will find a lot of
hotels in Whistler have wear and tear as it is a ski resort.
The service at the hotel was ok, not particularly friendly or helpful.
As we know the resort this wasn't a problem but some people mind find
this annoying.
The pool and hot tub are a bonus and of a good size.
Most or all of the accommodation at the Cascade Lodge is privately owned
whether this affects the standard of the other accommodations at the
hotel i'm not sure.
I would recommend this hotel if you like clean, basic accommodation.
We would stay here again if it was the best value at the time of
booking. It was one of the better 3 Stars we have stayed at in Whistler.
