Came to Whistler for the second time from Australia in January 2011. Last trip
stayed in Lost Lake Lodge, and this time wanted to stay right in the heart of
the action. Crystal Lodge was spot-on in this regard - fantastic location, easy
walk in ski boots to the mountain base, helpful staff, and easy access to
restaurants, bars, coffee etc. We had a one bedroom suite, which was great -
clean, comfortable, full kitchen, generally modern and in good condition. The
only minor negative comment is there is no drying room or locker room for wet
ski gear and ski boots, so they end up just getting stored in the cupboards in
the room. But this is only minor - we had a fantastic time in a great location,
and would fully recommend Crystal to my friends.

Our family of 4 stayed 6 nights in a one bedroom suite. The upgrade to a suite
from a room made a big difference in the quality of our vacation particularly
with 2 teenage boys it was nice having a second bathroom and a large living
area.
The suites are freshly upgraded with all needed amenities for cooking. The
cleaning staff are amazing (merci Celine). The front desk and bell hops are
friendly, efficient & always helpful.
Frankly at 2 minutes from the lifts, grocery store, liquor store, great
restaurants, its hard to beat this hotel for price - quality vs the many others
I compared it too. We had friends at a well known pricier hotel who paid much
more for lesser quality.
Our room was not on the Stroll (at our request to avoid the noise). That said,
we still had 2 nights on 6 with some noise in the middle of the night - beyond
the control of the hotel. Only reason for my notch down on sleep quality. I had
ear plugs just in case.
Overall, thank you Crystal and its staff for their hard work and dedication.

We liked this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our room (a
deluxe room) was one of the largest that I have seen for a ski resort. The
difference in size to a standard one (where my parents stayed) is significant -
so bear that in mind when considering paying more for an upgrade.
The hotel is nicely placed in the centre of the village and also close to the
ski lifts. The only downside of course is the cost but hey this is Whistler. In
fact compared to some of the restaurant bills we got, I ended up thinking that
the room rate was the most reasonable part of the vacation!

This hotel is the most perfect location for Whistler Village as it is literally
so central to everything. The service is absolutely fantastic and all the staff
are wonderful even the house keeping woman are really lovely everyone was so
helpful! And the King size beds are a dream, the rooms are comfortable and very
clean. They have a wonderful ski service that takes care of your skis delivery
to and from the lockers when you arrive and leave so you don't have to worry
about collecting them. And the lockers for your skis are right near the gondolas
it is all so so so easy. when we come back to Whistler we would definitely stay
here again!

We have spent 10 days here and the service has been excellent. Everybody is very
helpful and the room cleaning is spotless. The Crystal lounge bar is great value
and the bar food is really nice. The hotel location a ski valet is really good;
hotel to gondola via valet is approx 150 meters. This is our second stay and we
will most defiantly be back.

Great staff, Truly a big help to first timers in Whistler. Hotel is in the best
location of Whistler village. Dining, bars, shops and also the best of all so
close to the lifts. The only down fall to the Crystal was the size of the room
was a little small. I would still stay here but was a little tight with all your
ski clothes/ equipment. They do have ski and snowboard storage at the base of
the mountain which was very nice. All in all a great place to stay in whistler.
Also make sure and hit the $0.35 wings in the downstairs bar. It's a nice cheap
lunch compared to the high priced food everywhere else.

Fantastic location in the heart of Whistler Village. Room was well appointed and
in good condition. Staff were fantastic, and always quick to solve any problems
that came up.
Would recommend them, and intend to stay there again.

This hotel is amazing. I was able to stay in a room with vaulted ceiling and I
felt like I was in the Swiss Alps in a romantic lodge. Very nice room and
tastefully decorated.
The services here and the amenities they have make it a great place to be.
Everything you need is at your fingertips. I like the fact that I can walk to
the mountain in 5 minutes and then for dinner in 5.
Great hotel. Will stay here again!

Not the first time and for sure not the last
time! Whenever we stay in Whistler Crystal Lodge with its marvellous location is
always one of our favourite locations to stay. Minutes from the slopes in
middle of the village! Rooms are excellent and available foodcations are
excellent. We love the Breakfast at Mix's.
Only down point is the Hot Tub / Spa arrangement not being up to todays
standards. |
